Sailor Tilda

EDITED

Sorry, I've had to remove the photographs as apparently this card does appear in the Swedish version of Magnolia Ink which I was unaware of when I published the post

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend. Another of my Magnolia cards to show today which didn't make it to Magnolia Ink but it's a summer card so it's nice to post it on the blog now. The sweet sailor Tilda and pier background were masked together and water coloured with distress inks then layered on red, blue and swiss dot embossed white velvet card. Finished off with the ribbon tied between the layers, a few dots with white gel pen, some stickles and a threaded button. See you on Wednesday with my TSG blog hop card and thanks as always for your lovely comments, I appreciate them very much.

Cherry Tilda

Hi everyone, hope your weekend is going well. A magnolia card today which was one that didn't go into the Midsummer Magnolia Ink magazine so thought I'd post it today. I've used the lovely Cherry Tilda from the 2008 travel and school collection and the Fence and Summer Background from the 2008 summer and sea collection. I've water coloured with distress inks and Tilda is cut out and and attached to the card with gel glue. The scalloped background is an SVG file cut on the cricut and to finish off I added some stickles, butterflies punched from watercolour paper and then water coloured and some linen thread bows.

Thanks as always for your lovely comments and enjoy your Sunday.

Magnolia Bride and Bridesmaid

Hi everyone, hope you've had a good week so far! A Magnolia Wedding Collection card today with the beautiful Bride and Bridesmaid stamp which I've water coloured with distress inks and cut out with a Nestabilities mega labels die. The background paper is by Magnolia and is punched with a Martha Stewart crown punch around the page punch then I've inked the edges of this, the die cut image and the card base with old paper distress ink. To decorate I added a ribbon that I inked with the distress ink, ruched up and attached with thin glue tape, some viva pearl and jewel pens, stickles, gold outline paste for the gold pearls and a pink pearl to the ribbon.

I'm entering my card into the following chellenges:

Sir Stampalot - 'Punch it'

Magnolia Wedding collection DT card

Hi everyone, hope you're weekend is off to a good start. A Magnolia wedding collection DT card today with a gorgeous new Tilda and Edwin, Sitting Wedding Tilda and Sitting Wedding Edwin, I think they'll be versatile, a relaxed style wedding, perhaps they're bridesmaid and groomsman or an anniversary couple and the new garlanded Wedding Rose Arch makes a lovely background for them. I've also used a pretty squig swirl stamp that came with my kit in the bottom right corner. Everything is water coloured with distress ink and I've distressed and inked the edges of the white card and watercolour paper. The pretty flowers and ribbon are all from the Magnolia shop. The colours are more citrus IRL, didn't quite capture them in the photograph.

I'm entering my card into these challenges:
Raise the bar: Celebrate summer (summer, the perfect time for a wedding)
Paperplay: Flowers and sparkle

Have a good weekend,

Tilda's presents

Hi everyone, hope your week is going well. Here's Tilda with some presents, she's very cute and I think she'll be great for a lot of cards. I've watercoloured her with distress inks and cut her out then added some stardust stickles here and there. The background layers and card base are cut on the Cricut from an SVG cutting file. I'm going to add some links for these in the resources section of my blog for those who'd like to get the files, hopefully soon. The two larger butterflies are also SVG cutting files and the smaller ones are a Woodware punch. I've used E-line pearls and gems and a pink sparkle gel pen for the butterfly trails.

I'm entering my card into Cute Card Thursday which this week has a theme of 'no designer paper'.

Tilda and Edwin in Sherwood Forest

Hi everyone, hope you've had a nice Saturday and if you're in the UK some of the gorgeous weather we're having. A card today with Lady Tilda and Sherwood Edwin from the Magnolia Fairytale collection and here they are in Sherwood Forest :D. Tilda and Edwin are masked together and coloured with distress inks then cut out. The background of the card was made using a bare tree cutting file on the Cricut which I sprayed in yellow, green and cappucino glimmer mist so it's lovely and sparkly IRL. I also used the die cut as a mask for the bottom layer and sprayed the glimmer mists through it to get another layer of trees, the die cut was then popped up on dimension foam. At the bottom I've painted on some grass and then die cut some leaves for the trees from Magnolia patterned paper and some butterflies and dragonflies from Cosmo Cricket paper. Finished everything off with some Stardust and Platinum stickles. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks as always for your comments which are very much appreciated.

I'm entering my card into these challenges:
A spoon full of sugar - cute and girly
Pile it on - photo inspiration (I've gone for the greens)

Longing Tilda

Hi everyone, hope you've had a good week so far. Here's longing Tilda.....longing for froggy to turn into a prince no doubt :D and I've given her a castle tower to long from also using the castle window stamp. Everything is water coloured with distress inks, stickled and I've added glass glitter and stickles to the turret scallops and glossy accents and some glass glitter on the frog prince. The flag at the top of the tower is attached to a pin with a large head that's been glittered and stuck through the scallops at the back (these were cut on the cricut as was the blank that I've used to get the tower shape). Hope you're enjoying your Spring stamp kit if you got them too.

Thanks as always for your lovely comments, they're very much appreciated.

I'm entering the Just Magnolia challenge this week as it's anything goes.

Princess Tilda

Hi again and another post from me with a card I sent to a very special birthday girl who I now know has received it :) so I can show it here. I've used the gorgeous Princess Tilda, I love how she's holding her skirt up. She's coloured with distress inks, cut out with a nestabilities deckle edge rectangle die and I've added Stardust stickles because princesses should be sparkly :D. The mat layers were cut on the Cricut from white card and the bottom mat has been sponged with pink distress ink (spun sugar and victorian velvet) as have all the other edges and I also glimmer misted the pink layer with pearl mist. The mats are svg cut  files, I had a question about another of these which I used on a previous card and tried to answer but couldn't get onto the lady's blog. I've decorated with little cream roses, some sparkly tulle that I got from the lovely Tab and a woodware sentiment on a labels die cut. Enjoy your day and thank you as always for your comments, I appreciate every one.

I'm entering my card into these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Lets go to the movies (I think Tilda looks like she's off to a premier :D )

Magnolia Wedding

Hi everyone, more from MagnoliaINK Fairytale and my wedding project that was in the magazine without a Tilda or an Edwin in site but there are lots of Magnolia stamps. The gift boxes are for bridesmaid and grooms man gifts, the cufflinks and necklace sit on  inserts which I made from white velvet card and the boxes are from a basic pizza box style which I just made much deeper than normal to look more like jewellery presentation boxes. All the flowers and leaves are from Magnolia, the leaves were holly leaves and so that I could use them for this project I shaped them with scissors to cut off the pointed edges. All of the white card and the flowers are glimmer misted with pearl mist, they're lovely and sparkly IRL. Hope your week is going well, I don't know why but the work week after a bank holiday weekend always seems longer than a normal one :)! TFL and thanks as always for your lovely comments, one of these days I'll catch up with blog hopping!

MagnoliaINK Fairytale Issue

Hi everyone, hope you've had a lovely Easter break and lots of choccy :D. The Magnolia DT had the OK to share our projects from the Fairytale issue of MagnoliaINK so I thought I'd share this Easter project I made for the magazine today. It didn't go in the magazine but I really enjoyed making it and the early Simnel cake was very nice :D. TFL.

Tilda Tulip

Hi everyone hope the week is going well for you. A card today with the gorgeous tulip Tilda which I was lucky to receive on Saturday. I've also used the Magnolia Windmill and tulip stamp and masked them all to make the little scene, I see her in the beautiful Netherlands at tulip time :). Everything is water coloured with distress inks with added stickles and some copic spica glitter pen on Tilda's dress. I did a bit of faux stitching and then mounted the image on lemon glitter card, rounded off the corners and used one of the Nestabilities frames elements to decorate the four sides. The background paper is by Magnolia, distressed on the edges and to finish off I added some punched butterflies with pearls.

I'm entering my card into
Cute Card Thursday Dimension, well I hope I'm in time?

Thank you for visiting and as always for your lovely comments.

Easter Basket

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend. Mine was great because I had a lovely day at the NEC meeting up with my blogging friends Kim, Jo, Tara, and Georgia and also met Tab, Heather, Louise, Cloe and Clare for the first time. It was lovely to briefly chat with Jacque, Bev and Dawny P (Garners to you girl :D) and the whole day was even more special as I was able to share the journey with my lovely friend Kim which meant the hours of driving whizzed by :D. Thanks to you all girls for making the day very special and I look forward to the next one :).

It was lovely to meet Barbro and John for the first time at the Magnolia stand, a lovely couple and they kindly treated me to a gorgeous new Tilda which I'll be showing soon. I also added a few more Magnolia lovlies to my collection and some pretty Magnolia flowers. I loved seeing the stand all set up and the beautiful cards made by my Magnolia DT friends on display, they're even more beautiful in real life.

My little Easter Basket (instructions courtesy of America [thank you America, I love it] at The Cuttlebug Challenges Blog) with the gorgeous bunny Tilda includes one of my NEC purchases :), the grass punch which I used on some Doodlebug green velvet card. The top of the basket and the handle are punched with another MS, the lattice edger punch. I decided Tilda would be a pink bunny and she's water coloured with distress inks, cut out and placed sitting on the grass, there's some stickles of course :) and some flowers punched from glitter card with pearl centres. I added some pretty ribbon and embossed the panel around the basket with the CB Swiss dots embossing folder.

I'm entering my basket into these challenges:

Cuttlebug Challenges - Easter
Fussy and Fancy Challenge - Easter
Cupcake Challenges - Easter, spring and lots of chocolate

I don't suppose the mini eggs in the basket will last much longer than it takes me to publish this post :). TFL and thanks as always for your comments.
