Wicked

Hi everyone and wishing a very spooky All Hallows Eve :)! Here's Tilda flying off to play her part in Wicked and she's got her green make-up on too :). I painted her with distress inks, cut her out and then placed on top of a distress ink background wash where I've added some building shapes to the bottom. The papers are all by Magnolia and I've die cut the word Wicked with the Tim Holtz Market die and covered it with stickles. The moon is cut with Nestabilities circles and then embossed with a stars embossing folder and I've made a drippy spiders web with stickles too. The papers are distressed with paint and I've used an MS border punch. I followed Heather's sketch for BG challenges this week which I loved and I hope to have my card on for that in the next few days.

I'm entering this card into Magnolia Down Under challenge where the theme is Halloween inspired.
Have a spooky evening!

A winter scene

Hi everyone! Well to go with this chilly weather we're having here at the moment I've got a Christmas card to show today, one which didn't make it into the current issue of Magnolia Ink but others did so I was very happy :D. Tilda is coloured with distress inks, cut out and is sitting on a Melissa Frances carved scroll. The paper is by Websters Pages and I added a square doily, Magnolia clear chandliers for the tree behind her and  another Melissa Frances frame and scroll, snowflakes, lace and flower with pearl brad and lots of stickles. Enjoy your day.

Magnolia autumn swirl

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend. A Magnolia card today with an Autumn feel as we're certainly having the weather for it here and using one of the older Magnolia images water coloured with distress inks. The card is a tent shape with an aperture cut using a nestability labels die, the cut Tilda has been attached to a piece of acetate and hung from the inside top of the aperture so she can flutter in the breeze :). I also water coloured the Magnolia large toadstool and leaves images for the border at the bottom. I love the paper which came from the Magnolia shop but unfortunately there was not brand name on it. The punched borders top and bottom are done with a Martha Stewart punch and I've glittered around the leaf, Tilda's wings and the toadstool spots with Star Dust Stickles. Have a good Monday and as always thanks for your comments, I always appreciate them.

Tilda in Japan

Hi everyone, hope your weekend was good. A Tilda card today and her round the world tour has brought her to beautiful Japan :D! She looks very elegant with her up do hair and I've coloured her with distress inks then cut her out. Added some pearl pen in lilac and gold to her kimono. The Screen card base is die cut on the Cricut and I've lined the trellis area with BasicGrey Sugar Rush paper. The punched dragonflies are cut from that too. Added some Wild Orchid cherry blossoms, punched leaves, some faux stitching and more pearl and glitter pen and some little oriental charms to finish off.

Thanks for visiting and for your lovely comments as always.

Pirate Tilda take two

Hi everyone and another cute pirate Tilda from me today, I'm trying to use these stamps that I've had a for a while but not had time for so far. Tilda is a bit swarthy :D as I stamped her and the barrel background on kraft card and coloured with prisma pencils. I;ve added some shell beads, pearl pens, glitter liner and a doodlebug rub on to decorate. The edges of the scene are sponged with white ink and around of the base of the card in blue chalk ink.

I'm entering into Magnolia Down Under where the theme is an easel card
ABC Challenge with a theme of August
Cute Card Thursday and a theme of Whateva.
The Pink Elephant has a theme of Summer Fun.
All of these challenges have superb inspiration from the designers, I almost forgot I was meant to be entering :D.

Skipping Tilda

Hi everyone, hope you've had a good weekend. A card today using one of the older Tilda's but I  think she's very sweet with her skipping rope. The image is coloured with distress inks and cut out with a Nestabilities labels die and layered onto a doily and then K&Co paper. I've also used the gorgeous Magnolia Doo Hickey lace die, flora doodle flowers, Viva pearl pen and stickles. The sentiment is from Magnolia and cut out with a Nestabilities tag die. The paper edges are distressed and torn then sponged with peeled paint distress ink and I've finished off the card with a pretty ribbon.

I'm entering my card into these challenges:

Magnolia Wedding collection DT card

Hi everyone, I hope you've had a good start to the week. I have a card using the gorgeous Wedding Collection stamps today and I've been dying to have Tilda and Edwin sitting on top of the cake :D. The water colouring is with distress inks and I've added stickles, pearl pens and gold glamour dust to make everything sparkle. The cake was cut out and attached to the bottom of the front of the heart card so that it stands up and Tilda and Edwin were shaped a bit and glued in place with gel glue. The edges of the heart shaped card and the swiss dots embossed heart are sponged with a gold ink pad.

I'm entering my card into the ABC Challenge where this time the theme is 'You and Me' although I'm not sure if I properly meet the requirements now that I've looked more closely, I've used three stamps? :D

Thanks as always for your lovely comments, I always appreciate them.

BasicGrey Challenges 24 - Gingham

Hi everyone, hope you've had a good week and the heatwave (if you're in the UK) isn't sapping you too much :)! We have a new challenge on Basic Grey Challenges today and our theme is Gingham. The girls have made some fantasic cards so I hope you can pop over to see them and join us in the challenge. Heidi at Simon Says Stamp is offering $25 voucher to the store so even more reason to join in :D!!

I've used a sweet Tilda from the latest Magnolia collection and she's water coloured with distress inks, cut out and stickled. Not much else to say really, I wanted the pretty scene on the Websters Pages paper to show so I kept the card very simple just adding some ribbon and pearls and a layer of gingham and another of WP paper. Enjoy your Saturday and thanks as always for the lovely comments, they're always appreciated.

Sailor Tilda

EDITED

Sorry, I've had to remove the photographs as apparently this card does appear in the Swedish version of Magnolia Ink which I was unaware of when I published the post

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend. Another of my Magnolia cards to show today which didn't make it to Magnolia Ink but it's a summer card so it's nice to post it on the blog now. The sweet sailor Tilda and pier background were masked together and water coloured with distress inks then layered on red, blue and swiss dot embossed white velvet card. Finished off with the ribbon tied between the layers, a few dots with white gel pen, some stickles and a threaded button. See you on Wednesday with my TSG blog hop card and thanks as always for your lovely comments, I appreciate them very much.

Cherry Tilda

Hi everyone, hope your weekend is going well. A magnolia card today which was one that didn't go into the Midsummer Magnolia Ink magazine so thought I'd post it today. I've used the lovely Cherry Tilda from the 2008 travel and school collection and the Fence and Summer Background from the 2008 summer and sea collection. I've water coloured with distress inks and Tilda is cut out and and attached to the card with gel glue. The scalloped background is an SVG file cut on the cricut and to finish off I added some stickles, butterflies punched from watercolour paper and then water coloured and some linen thread bows.

Thanks as always for your lovely comments and enjoy your Sunday.

Hi everyone, hope you've had a good week so far! A Magnolia Wedding Collection card today with the beautiful Bride and Bridesmaid stamp which I've water coloured with distress inks and cut out with a Nestabilities mega labels die. The background paper is by Magnolia and is punched with a Martha Stewart crown punch around the page punch then I've inked the edges of this, the die cut image and the card base with old paper distress ink. To decorate I added a ribbon that I inked with the distress ink, ruched up and attached with thin glue tape, some viva pearl and jewel pens, stickles, gold outline paste for the gold pearls and a pink pearl to the ribbon.

Magnolia Wedding collection DT card

Hi everyone, hope you're weekend is off to a good start. A Magnolia wedding collection DT card today with a gorgeous new Tilda and Edwin, Sitting Wedding Tilda and Sitting Wedding Edwin, I think they'll be versatile, a relaxed style wedding, perhaps they're bridesmaid and groomsman or an anniversary couple and the new garlanded Wedding Rose Arch makes a lovely background for them. I've also used a pretty squig swirl stamp that came with my kit in the bottom right corner. Everything is water coloured with distress ink and I've distressed and inked the edges of the white card and watercolour paper. The pretty flowers and ribbon are all from the Magnolia shop. The colours are more citrus IRL, didn't quite capture them in the photograph.

I'm entering my card into these challenges:
Raise the bar: Celebrate summer (summer, the perfect time for a wedding)
Paperplay: Flowers and sparkle

Have a good weekend,

Tilda's presents

Hi everyone, hope your week is going well. Here's Tilda with some presents, she's very cute and I think she'll be great for a lot of cards. I've watercoloured her with distress inks and cut her out then added some stardust stickles here and there. The background layers and card base are cut on the Cricut from an SVG cutting file. I'm going to add some links for these in the resources section of my blog for those who'd like to get the files, hopefully soon. The two larger butterflies are also SVG cutting files and the smaller ones are a Woodware punch. I've used E-line pearls and gems and a pink sparkle gel pen for the butterfly trails.

I'm entering my card into Cute Card Thursday which this week has a theme of 'no designer paper'.

Tilda and Edwin in Sherwood Forest

Hi everyone, hope you've had a nice Saturday and if you're in the UK some of the gorgeous weather we're having. A card today with Lady Tilda and Sherwood Edwin from the Magnolia Fairytale collection and here they are in Sherwood Forest :D. Tilda and Edwin are masked together and coloured with distress inks then cut out. The background of the card was made using a bare tree cutting file on the Cricut which I sprayed in yellow, green and cappucino glimmer mist so it's lovely and sparkly IRL. I also used the die cut as a mask for the bottom layer and sprayed the glimmer mists through it to get another layer of trees, the die cut was then popped up on dimension foam. At the bottom I've painted on some grass and then die cut some leaves for the trees from Magnolia patterned paper and some butterflies and dragonflies from Cosmo Cricket paper. Finished everything off with some Stardust and Platinum stickles. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks as always for your comments which are very much appreciated.

I'm entering my card into these challenges:
A spoon full of sugar - cute and girly
Pile it on - photo inspiration (I've gone for the greens)
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Lovely as a tree
