Merry Christmas - Magnolia Advent Calendar Shutter 25

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate and I wish you a peaceful and happy time with family and friends.

It's my turn to open the shutter for day 25 of the Magnolia Advent Calendar and I've created my version of the Nativity by creating a chipboard panel covered with watercolour paper for my scene which is coloured with distress ink and watercolour markers with my doodled scene around and in the background.

To be in with the chance of winning a big Christmas gift from Magnolia all you have to do is leave a comment on this post and I will pick a winner in the next few days.

I'll leave you with one of my favourite Christmas songs and hope you have a perfect day :).

Off to find a tree

Hi everyone, another Magnolia card to share today featuring 'Tilda in the forest' from the Christmas Story collection and I imagine her going off to find her Christmas tree :). Tilda is coloured with distress and watercolour markers and then cut out.

I've used a Memory Box three die cut in two ways for this card, the die cut pieces on the background glued down over some bazzil card and embellished with white acrylic paint and stickles and then on the tag I've used the waste as a stencil where I've sponged through Dusty Concorde distress ink over the top of the Silent Night stamped background stamping..

I've added Magnolia DooHickey snowflake, flowers, sparkly gems, a wooden snowflake and lots of silver pearl pen dots and white pen dots for snow. I attached the tag to the card with some dimension tape over the background and some seam binding ribbon and then added the chit chat sticker to finish off.

I'm entering my card into the Marvellous Magnolia challenge where theme this week is to use 2 or more Magnolia stamps and I've used Tilda and the Silent Night background.

Thanks as always for your lovely comments and over the Christmas break when I have time off work I hope to get to do some blog hopping and catch up with everyone.

Christmas Saffron Buns

Hi everyone, hope your week is going well and Christmas preprations almost done :D! Another of my Christmas cards to share today and this time with the very sweet Tilda with saffron buns, love her hat with the heart at the top!  I think saffron buns are very traditional in Sweden and we were welcomed with coffee and sugar topped buns soon after we arrived at the Magnolia shop back in October, not sure if those are the same but they are delicious and reminded me a bit of our Chelsea buns.

Another easel card design with white bazzil card for the base and beautiful Magnolia paper for the top layer

Pretty ribbon, flowers, a die cut Christmas tree, the 'A Merry Christmas' sentiment, Magnolia Doohickey die cut snowflake and pearl flowers to decorate.

I'm entering my card into the Midweek Magnolias challenge of 'home for Christmas' and Tilda's Town challenge of 'freezin' season'.

Decorating the tree

Hi everyone and I hope you've had a good weekend. A card to share today with two gorgeous Tilda's, 'Jingle Jangle Tilda' and 'Tilda with two little gifts' from The Christmas Story Collection 2012. I also stamped the Christmas tree from the 2008 Christmas in two colours of permanent ink, brown for the base and olive for the branches. Everything is coloured with distress ink and watercolour markers and I've added the gorgeous Merry Christmas sentiment. I used the DooHickey poinsettia die for the flowers and the mistletoe for the leaves then faux stitched and stamped around the edges of the panel and mounted onto red and green card. To decorate the tree I added lots of little gems in various sizes and some stickles.

I'm entering my card into the challenge at Magnolia down under which is 'Christmas' and the challenge at It's a Magnolia Challenge which is create a Christmas card.

Back soon :)

Merry Christmas - Shades of Pink

Hi everyone, I hope you had a good weekend. A Christmas card today that I can share as it's already been received by my friend (I know, I'm never usually this organised :D). I've coloured Christmas Tilda with cat using distress and watercolour markers, faux stitched the edges, added stickles to the edge of the paper then mounted onto pink Bazzil card. I'm not sure of the name of this card design or where it orignated but thank you  to whoever it belongs to, it's a great design.

I've used pink glitter card and Pion paper to decorate the card base, used the same paper to make the Magnolia DooHickey pointsettias and also cut the DooHickey mistletoe die from the pink card. Everything is edged with vintage photo distress ink to finish off.

I've used shades of pink for my card so I can enter into the monochrome challenge at Marvellous Magnolias
at Magnolia-liscious challenge there's a pink Christmas challenge with this photo for inspiration

This week at Tilda's Town the challenge is 'celebrate Christmas' so I'm entering that one too.
Enjoy your day.
