Hi everyone, hope you’re having a good week so far. Just a quick post from me today to share my cards from the first MagnoliaINK magazine now that the new one is out.
See you tomorrow with my Colour Create card. TFL.
Hi everyone, hope you’re having a good week so far and keeping warm. A card today for the ABC Christmas Challenge with a theme of Angels this time. I didn’t manage to use many of my sweet Christmas Tilda’s before Christmas so it’s been nice to get some of them stamped and as I’m determined to have plenty of cards ready for next Christmas I’m going to be entering all the Christmas challenges I can :D. As all Tilda’s are angels I’ve chosen the lovely Tilda with Christmas Tree and water coloured her with distress inks and matted the image on some pretty Magnolia Mistletoe paper. I’ve used the nestability frame for the first time that I got at Christmas and I’ve sponged the embossed parts with walnut stain distress ink. The background is kraft card that I’ve faux stitched to look like quilting and inside the diamonds on the reverse side I did a bit of sculpting with a ball tool. Lots of stickles has been added to the image and liquid pearls in gold on the background and on the Christmas tree. TFL.
Hi everyone, we have the first challenge of the new year on BasicGrey Challenges starting today and it’s a lovely photo inspiration theme this time. We have a gorgeous ‘Nook and Pantry’ themed prize sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and there are superb cards from my DT friends so I hope you can join us. Best wishes to the lovely Kristen who sadly has left the team and we all wish you well.
I’ve made a card based on the pretty colours in the photo and I’ve done some pleating of the BasicGrey Obscure paper as there’s a great ‘how to’ by Mina on the Just Magnolia blog this week so I’m entering my card for that challenge too. The sweet Tilda stamp is water coloured with Ranger distress inks, cut out and then stickled and the background card is Bazzil swiss dots with a card blank made from Core’dinations teal card. TFL and have a good weekend.
Hi everyone, a card today with the gorgeous Jolly Tilda and which I entered into the PCE magazine competition. I was very excited when I found out that I was one of the runners up and have a lovely prize of craft goodies on the way to me, can’t wait for it to arrive.
The Jolly Tilda was stamped twice and masked so that I could stamp the Magnolia snowflake circle for her to be sitting on, I also cut out her head and arms as extra pieces, coloured them and used them to 3d the image. I’ve cut around her legs before die cutting with a large nestabilities plain circle die too. The image is water coloured with Ranger distress inks and glittered with stickles and a spica clear pen. Background paper is a lovely winter text paper from Magnolia which is distressed, edge inked and faux stitched and to finish I added some punched glittered snowflakes, Magnolia flowers spritzed with pearl glimmer mist, brown dotty sheer ribbon, some gems and a scalloped die cut and pierced circle behind the image.
I’m entering my card into the My Time to Craft challenge where this time, anything goes. Hope you’re having a good weekend. TFL
hApPy NeW yEaR everyone! I hope you had a good celebration and I wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2010.
Here’s a new year card which I’m entering into the Cupcake Challenge where the theme is celebration and is back to a more Christmassy looking card after the zingy colours of yesterday. There’s lots of glittery sparkle from the gorgeous background paper which is wrapping paper I saved from one of my presents. I stamped the sweet Jam Tilda and the Magnolia calendar stamp with Memento ink and coloured with copics. I’ve done lots of faux stitching and doodling with white and silver gel pens, cut around Tilda’s legs and then mounted the image panel on dimension tape over the white satin ribbon. There’s lots of silver stickles too dotted around the image. TFL.
Hi everyone, hope you’re having a nice Sunday so far. It’s raining here, just for a change, so staying inside today. A card today for Just Magnolia where the challenge is ‘It’s Christmas’, Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge has a theme of ‘Snow’ this week and Simon Says Stamp Challenge is ‘Let it Snow’.
I’ve used the gorgeous Magnolia ‘Frosty with snowflake’ from the ‘So Snowy’ collection, water coloured with distress inks, cut the image out with circle nesties and then added stardust stickles, doodling and sponging around the edge. The background paper is from the Magnolia winter collection and I’ve added some punched snowflakes, the larger of which is embossed with the CB snow embossing folder. To finish off I added some more doodling and edge sponging and iridescent gems. I used the the sketch from last week’s Friday Sketchers for the layout, thought it was a nice one. Have a lovely Sunday. TFL.
Hi everyone, hope you’ve all had a good week so far. I’ve managed to do two challenges with this card, Everybody Art Challenge where the theme is Christmas and My time to craft where the challenge is ‘Very Vintage’. I’ve used the gorgeous Magnolia ‘Santa on Christmas Eve’ and the ‘Fir Twig’ background stamps and the card just kept getting bigger and bigger so it’s a huge card cut from a pre-folded A4 card blank, so I think this will go to one of the family, I like to give them big cards.
I stamped then masked Santa and then stamped the background in and watercoloured with distress inks. There’s some gold metallic pen on the belt buckle, lantern and boots and also some glaze on the bet and boots but the camera hasn’t picked that up. I made a frame from some Doodlebug embossed velvet paper and placed that over the top of the image with dimension tape. The snowflake is cut with a cuttlebug die and then glittered with chunky glitter. I stamped the Penny Black sentiment stamp in red ink and then cut out with a Nestabilities labels die. Everything else quite straightforward really, snowflake punched white bazzil, red bazzil layer, faux stitching, stickles, sponging and a big bow.
I’m still playing catch up, but not actually catching up at all, I think everyone is the same at the moment, not enough hours in the days. Still on a mission to get Christmas cards done and not getting very far with that either :D. See you tomorrow with my Craft Barn post. TFL.
