Tilda Tulip

Hi everyone hope the week is going well for you. A card today with the gorgeous tulip Tilda which I was lucky to receive on Saturday. I've also used the Magnolia Windmill and tulip stamp and masked them all to make the little scene, I see her in the beautiful Netherlands at tulip time :). Everything is water coloured with distress inks with added stickles and some copic spica glitter pen on Tilda's dress. I did a bit of faux stitching and then mounted the image on lemon glitter card, rounded off the corners and used one of the Nestabilities frames elements to decorate the four sides. The background paper is by Magnolia, distressed on the edges and to finish off I added some punched butterflies with pearls.

I'm entering my card into
Cute Card Thursday Dimension, well I hope I'm in time?

Thank you for visiting and as always for your lovely comments.

Easter Basket

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend. Mine was great because I had a lovely day at the NEC meeting up with my blogging friends Kim, Jo, Tara, and Georgia and also met Tab, Heather, Louise, Cloe and Clare for the first time. It was lovely to briefly chat with Jacque, Bev and Dawny P (Garners to you girl :D) and the whole day was even more special as I was able to share the journey with my lovely friend Kim which meant the hours of driving whizzed by :D. Thanks to you all girls for making the day very special and I look forward to the next one :).

It was lovely to meet Barbro and John for the first time at the Magnolia stand, a lovely couple and they kindly treated me to a gorgeous new Tilda which I'll be showing soon. I also added a few more Magnolia lovlies to my collection and some pretty Magnolia flowers. I loved seeing the stand all set up and the beautiful cards made by my Magnolia DT friends on display, they're even more beautiful in real life.

My little Easter Basket (instructions courtesy of America [thank you America, I love it] at The Cuttlebug Challenges Blog) with the gorgeous bunny Tilda includes one of my NEC purchases :), the grass punch which I used on some Doodlebug green velvet card. The top of the basket and the handle are punched with another MS, the lattice edger punch. I decided Tilda would be a pink bunny and she's water coloured with distress inks, cut out and placed sitting on the grass, there's some stickles of course :) and some flowers punched from glitter card with pearl centres. I added some pretty ribbon and embossed the panel around the basket with the CB Swiss dots embossing folder.

I'm entering my basket into these challenges:

Cuttlebug Challenges - Easter
Fussy and Fancy Challenge - Easter
Cupcake Challenges - Easter, spring and lots of chocolate

I don't suppose the mini eggs in the basket will last much longer than it takes me to publish this post :). TFL and thanks as always for your comments.

Hi everyone, hope you’re having a good week so far. A Magnolia Easter DT project from me today which is this little Easter basket cut out on the cricut using a cut file from SVG Cuts using bazzil card and the lovely new spring Magnolia paper. Tilda with Chick is water coloured with distress inks, cut out, stickled and attached to the basket along with the cute little chick stamp and the tulip stamp which are also water coloured. The beautiful butterfly ribbon that I’ve wrapped around the handle is from the Magnolia shop along with the green roses, ribbon and feathers. The  basket turns out big enough to hold two tubes of Cadbury’s mini eggs :D. TFL.
I’m entering my card into:
Roses on Paper ‘Easter creation’
A spoon full of sugar ‘Easter’
The Pink Elephant ‘Spring’
Pile it on ‘Pastel colours’

Magnolia DT card

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’ve had a good day today. Here’s another of my Magnolia DT cards this time featuring the gorgeous butterfly Tilda from Chasing Butterflies collection last spring and the little rose stamp. I’ve watercoloured her with distress inks, cut her out and and added little wire antennae and lots of stickles. The background card and papers were all sent by Magnolia so I’m afraid I don’t know the brands and all the flowers and leaves and dark blue ribbon are from Magnolia too. The blue scalloped circles were all cut with nestability dies and the one behind Tilda has been embossed with a CB swirls folder. They’ve all been sponged with white ink and stickled of course :D. I also used up a small piece of the vellum paper I made for my Magnolia chocolate box card for the bottom and I sprayed the background card under it so that there’s a bit of blue showing through.

I’m entering my card into these challenges:
Cupcake Challenges ‘flower power’
Stamp with Fun ‘spring’
By the cute and girly ‘spring’

Should be up to date soon hopefully so that I can catch up with what you’ve all been doing :D. TFL tt for now.

BG Challenges 14

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
baby-nursery
Hi everyone, hope the weekend is off to a good start for you. A card today for the next BasicGrey Challenge and this time there’s a lovely inspiration photograph as the theme. As always my DT friends have come up with some amazing cards so I hope you can join us. As always we’re sponsored by Simon Says Stamp with another great prize on offer as long as you include an item by BasicGrey.

I went with the yellow colour from the photograph and the little bunny on the shelf so I’ve used some paper from the Porcelain collection, which is so pretty with a lacey pattern and also some of the new Magnolia bunny paper. I’ve stamped the sweet Little Bunny Tilda from the new Magnolia Easter collection and she’s coloured with distress inks then cut out. The lace and white sparkly roses are by Magnolia as is the sentiment, the daffodils are from my stash. I just realised that I’ve left off the other two butterflies that were supposed to be in the middle panel :), will have to see to that later! Enjoy your Saturday and TFL.

Magnolia DT card

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’re having a good week so far! Another Magnolia DT card from me today using the lovely heart chocolate box, the rose stamp and the gorgeous Dinner Tilda.

Everything is water coloured with distress inks apart from the background paper which I made by stamping the rose onto vellum, heat embossing with white embossing powder and then colouring on the reverse side with copic markers (a nice tip from my friend Sandra :)) and it gives a lovely soft look to the roses and quite different from those I’ve stamped and water coloured. Everything has been cut out and arranged over the card blank which was cut with a labels nestie die and some ribbon and lace. I added some pearl pen, stickles and some of the pretty lilac bead strands which Magnolia have just brought out to decorate.

Have a nice evening, thank you as always for the lovely comments you leave and which I appreciate very much, I hope to catch up with my blog hopping when I get all my DT cards done. TFL.

Magnolia DT card

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’re having a nice Sunday and hopefully some craft time :). A Magnolia DT card today using the gorgeous Honey Tilda, honey jar and bee stamps. I did some masking so that I could have Tilda sitting on the honey jar and she’s coloured with distress inks, glittered with some stickles then cut out and layered on a nestability die cut. The background paper is created using a mask over white bazzil card which I made and cut on the Cricut hopefully looking a bit like honeycomb? :) Used some chocolate and lemon glimmer mist to spray over the mask and then I over stamped with the bee stamp and brown ink. To decorate I added the ribbon which is also glimmer misted, the threaded buttons, clear copic spica glitter pen over Tilda’s clothes and the hand written Honey sentiment. TFL.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, I hope you’ve all been showered with love :)!

A card today for Just Magnolia Challenge and a theme of ‘Love’, Double Dutch where it’s ‘Be my Valentine’, Stamp with fun ‘Hearts’ and The Pink Elephant ‘Mushy, Gushy Valentine’.

I’ve stamped the ever so cute Ladybug Tilda and water coloured her with distress inks, cut her out with a nestabilities die, added lots of stickles, copic spica glitter pen and glossy accents to her spotty jacket. The background paper is also by Magnolia and I’ve faux stitched around the edges of it. There’s a border of white card with punched with the doily lace punch finished off and red dotted ribbon and to finish off I added the Magnolia ‘Loving Wishes’ sentiment which I cut in half after stamping and some clear gems.

Have a cosy evening and TFL.

Cuttlebug Challenge

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’ve all had a good weekend. A card today for The Cuttlebug Challenge where the theme this time is to make a mask and use glimmer mist. For my mask I used a strip of paper that I’d previously punched some hearts from, placed it over the white heart doily die cut and sprayed it with Creme de chocolat glimmer mist, moved it up and sprayed again the embossed with the hearts cuttlebug folder. I stamped the gorgeous Amor Tilda and water coloured her with distress inks and then cut her out. There’s stickles dotted about and little pearls on her headband done with a Viva Decor pearl pen. The round card blank was cut on the Expression as was the scalloped heart doily and on the blank I’ve stamped with the Magnolia Love post and love heart stamps in old paper distress ink. The large heart is another die cut and the smaller one is from a Martha Stewart punch, both have been edged with walnut stain distress ink and then glittered with chunky glitter. A pretty ribbon, a Papermania sentiment and a few more pearl drops to finish. TFL and as always, thank you for the lovely comments you leave, I really do appreciate them very much.

JM Hearts and flowers, CCT 97 Blooming gorgeous, MTTCC Elegant rose, SCSC Hearts,

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend. A card today for four challenges :D, Just Magnolia is hearts, CCT is blooming gorgeous, MTTCC is elegant rose and SCSC is hearts, it’s not often I manage a multiple challenges!
I’ve used the absolutely gorgeous ‘Right through my heart’ Tilda from Raising the ceiling collection which I think is going to be available to buy here in the UK this week. Tilda is coloured with distress inks, glittered and gilded around the image edges and on her bow with gold embossing powder. The background paper is also by Magnolia and I embossed the edges of this too, it worked really well as the paper is a nice thick quality, almost like card. I die cut a nestability frame, sponged with gold ink and then cut off the top and bottom and added to the top and bottom of the image just underneath, I think she looks a bit Grecian and needed framing :). The bullseye circle and the sentiment are also Magnolia stamps and also embossed in gold. I added some criss crossed dotted ribbon too to finish off. TFL and thanks as always for your lovely comments which I hope to return as soon as I catch up with things.

Blueberry Tilda

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
HI everyone, hope you’ve had a good weekend. A card today which was sent to my friend Jo, I know that she’s received it now so I can blog it. I coloured the sweet Blueberry Tilda with distress inks and added lots of stickles and copic glitter pen before cutting her out with an oblong nestabilities die. The background paper is Magnolia blueberry paper in such pretty colours and the scalloped die cut oblong and card blank are Core’dinations card. I added some purple tulle that I got from Tab’s lovely shop, some lilac gems in the corners and some faux stitching to finish off.
I also want to wish Magnolia Stamps all the best at the CHA show in Anaheim, California which started today. If you’re lucky enough to be attending they’d love you to pop into their stand and say hello. I’m sure it’s full of fairytale magic and I certainly wish I was lucky enough to be attending :). The new Magnolia Ink magazine is now available and full of fantastic inspiration from my DT friends, gorgeous projects and how to’s, I just got my copy so I’ll be busy wearing the print off it for a while :D. This might be a good time to show my projects from Magnolia Ink 1, will do that tomorrow probably. TFL.

OCC blue and green

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’re having a good week. A card today for OCC where the challenge is to use blue and green. I used the pretty Tilda with presents and modified her so that I could use her for a birthday card by adding a little bow to her hair where there’s a sprig of holly. She’s coloured with distress inks with some spica glitter pen and stickles over the top and cut out with a nesties die. The background paper is by Magnolia, I’ve spritzed it with glimmer mist, faux stitched and distressed the edges and sponged with distress ink. The strip of blue card is is also spritzed with glimmer mist (wish it would show up!), it’s also punched with an EK Success scalloped border punch. TFL.

Still on Christmas

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>

Hi everyone, hope you’re having a good week so far and keeping warm. A card today for the ABC Christmas Challenge with a theme of Angels this time. I didn’t manage to use many of my sweet Christmas Tilda’s before Christmas so it’s been nice to get some of them stamped and as I’m determined to have plenty of cards ready for next Christmas I’m going to be entering all the Christmas challenges I can :D. As all Tilda’s are angels I’ve chosen the lovely Tilda with Christmas Tree and water coloured her with distress inks and matted the image on some pretty Magnolia Mistletoe paper. I’ve used the nestability frame for the first time that I got at Christmas and I’ve sponged the embossed parts with walnut stain distress ink. The background is kraft card that I’ve faux stitched to look like quilting and inside the diamonds on the reverse side I did a bit of sculpting with a ball tool. Lots of stickles has been added to the image and liquid pearls in gold on the background and on the Christmas tree. TFL.

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>

blue-living-room_761

Hi everyone, we have the first challenge of the new year on BasicGrey Challenges starting today and it’s a lovely photo inspiration theme this time. We have a gorgeous ‘Nook and Pantry’ themed prize sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and there are superb cards from my DT friends so I hope you can join us. Best wishes to the lovely Kristen who sadly has left the team and we all wish you well.

MartineBlogCandy_3_thumb[2]

I’ve made a card based on the pretty colours in the photo and I’ve done some pleating of the BasicGrey Obscure paper as there’s a great ‘how to’ by Mina on the Just Magnolia blog this week so I’m entering my card for that challenge too. The sweet Tilda stamp is water coloured with Ranger distress inks, cut out and then stickled and the background card is Bazzil swiss dots with a card blank made from Core’dinations teal card. TFL and have a good weekend.
