Little Christmas

Hi everyone and I hope your week is going well so far. I have set of cards to share today with the gorgeous new Little Christmas collection stamps Cozy Christmas Bear, Tilda with a cute lamb and Coco with present. They're all watercoloured with watercolour crayons and markers and then cut out with a circular nestabilities die.

I've made circular shaped cards to give the impression of a Christmas bauble with a snowflake embossed front piece, a scalloped nestie circle behind the image, a punched snowflake and a DooHickey die cut snowflake. The embossing and all edges of the card have been swiped with iced spruce distress ink and I've added some sparkly pearly embellishments to the snowflakes and pretty wired ribbon.

Tilda's Town have a challenge of vintage this week and I'm entering my card set into that.

Goosebump Tilda

Hi everyone, hope you're having a lovely weekend! A tag shaped card to share today using the sweet Goosebump Tilda from the Turning Leaves Collection. The colouring is with watercolours with some doodling over it and I've then cut her out and mounted her over the background with glue gel.

The tag card was easy to make using a corner punch on the top corners and cropodile punch for the centre hole. I embossed the card with a Tim Holtz brickwork embossing folder and swiped over the raised brickwork with vintage photo and walnut stain distress ink pads.

The window/shutters/flower window box are Memory Box die cuts all coloured with distress inks/acrylic paint. Behind the window there's some muslin fabric for a curtain and to finish off I added a punched grass border, punched flowers with pearl centres, a punched and watercoloured butterfly, ribbon and a chit chat sticker sentiment.

I'm entering my card into the Ribbon Girl Card Challenge where the current challenge is bingo. I've chosen the top line acrosse of ribbon - pearls - image.

Little Christmas collection 2012

Hi everyone, hope you had a good start to the week. Here are two of the beautiful new angel Tilda's from the upcoming "Little Christmas' Collection 2012 which are on pre-order in many of our favourite Magnolia retailers :). This is Dancing with stars Tilda on the left side and Little Tilda on the right.

I've made two little gift bags using the Sizzix Tim Holtz gift bag die and kraft card. The stamping was done directly onto the bags before they were put together and I've coloured with pencils this time. I've used two Magnolia snowflake stamps to make the background which were stamped in black. There's pretty ribbon, lots of stickles in silver and holly red and also some chit chat stickers and Papermania glitter circles.

I'm entering the Tilda's Town challenge which this week is to name your technique. I suppose there's a technique to colouring on kraft card so that's technique one and I've embellished with glitter glue inside the stamped snowflakes so I'll have that as my second technique :).

Thanks as always for your lovely comments and sorry if I haven't managed to reciprocate just yet. Enjoy your evening :)

Summer Board Book

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend! I have a board book to share today with a summer theme of things Tilda and Edwin do in the holidays :).
The cover: Tilda is exploring and checking on the bug life.

Picking some strawberries.

Riding her horse in the countryside.

Picking some flowers.

A day at the beach.

The board book is a Woodware 6 x 6 scalloped mini album which I've taken apart so that I have another three pages to make another some time. I was going for a more illustrative painted style for the backgrounds on these images as you would see in a children's book with a flatter look to them.

All the pages are painted with DecoArt paints over some texture paste. The texture paste is highlighted afterwards with black paint and there's black and white pen doodling around the edges. The flowers are Magnolia DooHickey Daisy dies which have been cut from watercolour card and painted with watercolours as are all the images. I added faux stitching, cut up words in the thought bubble DooHickey die cuts and doodling with a fine nibbed black pen. The book rings which were originally silver were coloured with black alcohol ink.

Thanks as always for your lovely comments and enjoy your day. :)

Tilda with a gift for you

Hi everyone! A little gift tag that I've made to share today and with the gorgeous new 'Tilda with a gift for you'. I've stamped onto kraft card, coloured everything with pencils, added a bit of doodling/faux stitching, a chit chat sticker and bakers twine and like the one layer effect for a change.

I'm entering my tag into the Ribbon Girl colour challenge which this month has a beautiful inspiration photo as the colour source.

Thank you as always for your lovely comments which I appreciate very much.

Tilda in London ATC

Hi everyone! Hope you had a good weekend and if you're here in the UK I hope you're still enjoying the extra long weekend we're having to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee!

I decided Princess Tilda should visit London to join in the celebrations and so she's dressed in red, white and blue (coloured with distress and watercolour markers) and has a background of London themed stamps from Indigo Blue and Artistic Outpost. I used a Magnolia DooHickey die to make the bunting and added doodling in red, white and blue around the edges and red, white and diamond gems.

I'm entering my ATC into the The Ribbon Girls challenge of use ribbon or lace hoping that the bakers twine counts as ribbon :)?  Craft Your Days Away challenge have a theme of red, white and blue as does the One Stop Card Challenge but with the addition of a crown or diamonds, so I'm entering those too.

Have a good day and as always, thank you for your lovely comments. Hoping to get back on track with commenting at some point :)

Liberty Tilda, Freedom Background, Eagle & Scroll stamps

Hi everyone, hope you've had a good weekend, here in the UK we've been basking in hot sun, a bit too hot for me really.

I have a tag to show today with the sweet new Liberty Tilda (not actually sure of the names as yet), the Freedom Background (I believe this name is correct), the eagle and the scroll. I'm sure my friends in the USA are going to love this set too :).

Tilda is coloured with a mixture of distress markers and water colour markers as is the eagle. I've used the Freedom background stamp in three ways, firstly using it to make an acrylic paint resist background. I also used a Tim Holtz stamp right at the top of the tag. The second way of using it was to add faded jeans and festive berries distress ink randomly around the stamp and then stamping onto the die cut Tilda's Lace and onto the scroll which I'd stamped and then cut out and for the third way I stamped again with the same inks onto some seam binding ribbon.

I'm entering my tag into the Papertake Weekly Challenge theme of true colours which is a patriotic theme or to use the colours red, white and blue.

Thanks as always for your comments, they're always appreciated.

TOMIC 50 - sketch + photo inspiration + yellow

Hi everyone! There's a new challenge starting on TOMIC today and we have a lovely theme that incorporates a great sketch to follow from Tina, a photo of Magnolia Ink as inspiration and the use of yellow. I hope you can join us and be in with the chance of a gorgeous prize from Magnolia.

I made a gift box and used yellow patterned paper and yellow plain card to make it up. On top is a small easel card  die cut with a spellbinders postage stamp die from the same card and papers and that's where I've added the sketch part of the challenge. Some of my layers are ribbon and jute mesh. Tilda with bird cage is coloured with distress ink markers and watercolour markers and I've added flowers, ribbon, pearl pen dots to decorate.

Enjoy your day!

Paddling

Hi everyone! Here's the sweet paddling Tilda from the new stamp club kit and of course because she has short curly hair, she's my favourite :D! I've watercoloured Tilda then doodled and watercoloured a little river bank of flowers behind her. I've used the new Tilda's ticket die which is tucked under the image, the paper is by Pion and I've added the stamp club kit sentiment,  faux stitching, stickles, flowers, ribbon and pearls to decorate.

I'm entering my card into the Magnolia Stamp Lovers challenge where the theme is butterflies and there are two in the image.

Enjoy your day :)

TOMIC 46 - Magnolia World + Doo hickey tag

Hi everyone! There's a new challenge starting on TOMIC today which is to use any stamp from Magnolia mini world, a doohickey tag die as the base for the stamp and then the tag can be part of a larger item. Hope you can join us for the challenge and as always there's a gorgeous prize to be won.

I've used the cute mini world Tilda from the new stamp club kit and I stamped her onto the doohickey tag which is cut from watercolour paper. I watercoloured with various media, inked edges, added stickles and mounted the tag on to the blue card then cut around it to leave a border.

I made a gift box, pizza box style which measures four inches square, it's my favourite box to make as it's so simple and can be modified to different sizes very easily. I think the patterned paper is October Afternoon, but not too sure and after decorating the box with that I added the tag on top of a Spellbinders fleur de lis die cut, added ribbon, flowers, pearls and a beaded tassel at the front.

This is one of the rare occasions when all the sparkle of the stickles has shown up in the photographs but it shows up a bit too much :D...........can't believe I said that!

Beach Finds

Hi everyone, hope you had a good day today. Here's my second card with images from the new Magnolia stamp club kit and a gorgeous Tilda (loved her bobbed hair) and sweet Edwin. Two of my favourite Tilda hair cuts in this kit, bobbed and the short curly style so I was very happy :D!

Same as yesterday's card for simple style and media which were distress markers, watercolour markers, watercolour crayons. Lots of doodling on this one...............the whole background. I've added some faux stitching, punched corners, pearl pen dots and then the sentiment which I stamped four times in green, red, yellow and blue ink.

Thank you for all your sweet comments as always, they're very much appreciated. Enjoy your evening.

A sunny day at the beach

Hi everyone, hope you had a lovely Easter! I've been having a colouring session with the new Magnolia stamp club kit and here's the first of two I've finished. The card is so simple it feels like cheating :D but for both of the cards I made it just felt like that's how they should be.

I've created a beach scene and the gorgeous sitting Tilda (don't know any of their names yet) has been masked with the large shell from the kit, love her shoes! I added mini Tilda with life ring further up the beach and then the setting sun. Everything is water coloured with a mixture of distress ink markers, water colour crayons and water colour markers and I've added my doodling, faux stitching, the sentiment from the kit (doubled up on the word sunny), and pearl pen dots to finish off.

No such sunny day here....rain, rain, rain, all day! Back soon with the next card, enjoy your evening.

Bunny Tilda

Hi everyone, hope you've had a good start to the week. I have a Magnolia card to show today with the gorgeous bunny tilda. She's watercoloured, cut out and sitting on a die cut floral circle and I think she's very cute, I couldn't wait to colour her again this year....I like making Easter Magnolia cards almost as much as making Christmas Magnolia cards :).

I've used Magnolia pink stripe paper for the background and it's such a pretty pink too. I also added a doily die cut, a die cut circle from pink Bazzil card which is also embossed and I cut the flower circle again from Crafty Individuals paper and then cut just some of the flower to place over the white die cut. The butterfly is done in the same way, CI patterned paper for the bottom die cut this time and white Bazzil for the top. Added pen dots, gems, pearls and seam binding to finish off, oh and some stickles of course :).

I'm entering my card into MDUC where the theme this week is Easter.

Signs of spring

Hi everyone, hope you've had a good week. A card to show today with the sweet Celebration Tilda, I think she can work as a sitting Tilda but also looks as if she could be jumping up in the air so that's how I imagined her for this scene. Tilda and the scene are painted with distress inks and distress ink markers and I've created a handbag shaped card for my die cutting maching which I cut from blossom pink Bazzil card. I've added faux stitching, die cut letters, gems and stickles to decorate  and punched flowers which I think look like blossoms so I can enter Cute Card Thursday's challenge for this week which is 'signs of spring'

Have a lovely weekend!
